A well-prepared pole dance bag for a beginner should include essentials for comfort, safety, and practice. Here’s a list of items you might want to carry:
Pole-Safe Moisturizer: To keep your skin hydrated without making it too slippery for the pole. Try my new Moane Pole-Safe Moisturizer.
Grip Aid: Products like Dry Hands or iTac to help with better grip on the pole.
Water Bottle: Staying hydrated is key during your pole sessions.
Towel: A small towel to clean the pole in case your studio runs out and to use on your body to wipe sweat.
Pole Wear: Proper attire like pole shorts, a sports bra, or a tank top to allow skin contact with the pole for grip. Leggings and a hoodie are nice as well to use during a warm-up and cool-down.
Pole Heels: Not recommended for your first couple of classes. But once you become more comfortable with the movements heels can enhance your leg lines, boost your confidence, enhance your aesthetic, refine your technique, and also prepare you for your future performances.
Ankle/Foot Protection: Optional but can include grip socks or foot wraps.
Notebook and pen or Phone: To track progress and jot down new tricks learned.
First-Aid Kit: Band-aids or blister pads for any small injuries. Pain pills for pain relief.
Hair ties: To pull your hair back on days you forget to bring one
Most importantly:
Knee Pads: For protection during floor work and tricks where knees are involved, try our Moane by Milani Symoane Original or Cinnamon bun kneepads. Read my other blog “The Best Features to Look for in Pole Dancing Kneepads”.
Having these items in your pole bag will help a beginner feel comfortable and prepared for various classes.
